Dior Sells Cell Phone, But They Are Not First To Overprice A Gadget – Luxcellphone
The global economic recession has witnessed the start of many trends. For once, big fashion houses have become flexible enough to dabble into stuff other than just designing clothes so as to bring in more moolah to their cash registers. Christian Dior is one of them. The famous brand has just annoounced the release of their newest phone line that will be launched in December this year. A second generation range of luxury phones by its makers, these come plated in gold with a complementing finishing in black PVD. The effect is completed by the sparkling sapphire crystals and looks amazing. These additional models are here to satiate your desire for the unique and the flamboyant. You can get them only by placing a special order. There are two models that come decorated with diamonds, one is Zelie with a red casing while the other is called Zenaide and has been done in white. Everyone needs a cell phone. The cell phone craze has risen to the point were people will pay anything for the latest phone, but what is the cut-off point? Perhaps it’s the Dior Diamond Phone that will be retailing for a mind-boggling . The phone that was only rumored until today will be manufactured by Modelabs. The phone honestly looks like a razor with an attitude problem, emblazoned with a diamond pattern on the front (no not real diamonds, just the ever popular diamond Dior pattern). According to Geek Sugar, the phone will also come with a “mini phone” called “my Dior” that will be roughly the size of a USB stick. The device will be paired via bluetooth and can quickly be answered if sifting through the LV Speedy bag is too much trouble. While Dior’s phone carries a very hefty price tag, it’s not the first electronic to go completely out of control with a price tag. In the cell phone sales avenue alone, there are several phones that have been priced through the roof simply for status. Let’s take a look at some of the top contenders for gadget prestige. Nokia lost its mind not to long ago and released a very special edition model of their Nokia 8800. Nokia took the perfectly acceptable handset and encased it in 24k gold. Sadly not much else was changed. The phone has the following features according to Dial-a-phone: a 0.5 mega pixel SVGA camera (yeah POINT 5), 64 MB of internal memory, 64 voice polyphonic ringtones, FM radio, mp3 Player, video recording and 180 minutes talk time. The feature set is pretty standard for the Nokiavertu phone. The only truly special feature is the casing and the charging station, which is also gold, and — oh yeah — and a special edition box that can be all yours for a mere $2,700. The Dolce and Gabanna Motorola Razr also hit the market at a great deal more than it’s normal counterpart. While the Razr retailed for about $200-$300 when it opened up the D&G phones were going for about $1,000 or more on eBay and similar sites upon the release. The phone really had nothing special with the exception of a special power on sound and ring tone. It was simply a gold Razr. http://www.luxcellphone.com candy-plm.ltd Article Sources: http://www.luxcellphone.com/blog/?p=390
