Windows Operating System Installation

Installation of Windows operating system is not a complex task and even a layman can upload whatever version of OS, he/ she wants in his computer. For successful installation of Windows in your laptop or desktop, you have to follow certain steps. But it is important to keep certain points that are mentioned underneath:
If you want to install any Windows operating system, then you should have its installation CD with product key. You can purchase Windows installation CD from an authorized dealer or you can also download Windows operating system from Microsoft’s website.
Before installing a Windows operating system on your PC, you need to go through the minimum system requirements. Windows 7 is the latest Windows operating system released by Microsoft. In this article light will be thrown on Windows 7 installation.

Installation of Windows 7

You have to perform the following steps for Windows 7 installation:

STEP 1 Turn on your computer so that Windows starts normally, insert the Windows 7 installation disc or USB flash drive, and then shut down your computer

STEP 2 Restart your computer

STEP 3 Press any key when prompted, and then follow the instructions that appear

STEP 4 On the Install Windows page, enter your language and other preferences, and then click Next

STEP 5 If the Install Windows page doesn’t appear, and you’re not asked to press any key, you might need to change some system settings

STEP 6 On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms, and then click Next

STEP 7 On the “Which type of installation do you want?” page, click Custom

STEP 8 On the “Where do you want to install Windows?” page, click Drive options (advanced)

STEP 9 Click the partition that you want to change, click the formatting option you want to perform, and then follow the instructions

STEP 10 When you’ve finished formatting, click Next

STEP 11 Follow the instructions to finish installing Windows 7, which include naming your computer and setting up an initial user account.

When you will complete all the above mentioned steps, then Windows 7 will gets installed on your computer system. After installation of Windows 7, you can enjoy its enhanced features.
